Cleansing Aloe Vera Nut Milk with Tigernut Granola Recipe

If you have a hectic work schedule and often find yourself skipping breakfast, no worries! We have just developed a delicious breakfast recipe that will load your body with plenty of nutrients, fill you up with energy and help with colon cleansing. Yep! All thanks to this magic duo – the inner leaf aloe vera juice and raw tigernut granola. What? Did you think that’s a weird combo? We can assure you, it’s quite the opposite. This is the most delicious breakfast recipe, so delicious that you’ll be looking forward to enjoying it before the morning comes.
Homemade nut milk plays an essential part in this recipe. To make our plant-based milk, we used almonds, Medjool dates, oats, strawberries and undiluted aloe vera juice made from fresh aloe leaves. For the best taste, we combined it with Erbology’s tigernut granola with dark chocolate and Jerusalem artichoke. It’s raw, gluten-free and activated with sprouted buckwheat. So good and so nutritious!

We chose to combine nut milk with aloe vera mainly because of its amazing cleansing benefits. The inner leaf of aloe vera is known for its acemannan polysaccharide content that has been studied for its support of immune and digestive health. Aloe vera juice is ideal to hydrate and alkalise your body. For all these reasons, mornings are a perfect time to drink it. Aloe vera juice blends really well with nut milk, giving it a little bit more freshness. Then, we added fresh strawberries for their beautiful fragrance. It gives this recipe a great taste similar to a good strawberry yogurt – we all love it!
Erbology tigernut granola comes in three different flavours: nopal cactus with chia seeds; sea buckthorn and aronia berry duo; and Jerusalem artichoke blended with dark chocolate. We chose the latter because dark chocolate is a perfect match for strawberries. Tigernuts and Jerusalem artichokes (also known as sunchokes or sunroot) are packed with prebiotic fibre that feeds good bacteria in your gut and helps to stimulate digestion. Together with sprouted buckwheat, this awesome trio is rich in dietary minerals, such as iron and magnesium. How amazing is it?
This morning recipe needs a bit of prep ahead, but it will last you at least three days if you keep the nut milk in the fridge. We can promise that you won't regret spending ten minutes of your evening preparing this wholesome breakfast recipe. After all, doesn’t it feel awesome to make time for yourself properly?
Makes 1 l, prepare in 10 min if you have the hydrated almonds
100% plant-based, vegan, gluten-free, soy-free, refined sugar-free
- ¾ cup hydrated almonds
- ¾ cup oats (or gluten-free oats)
- 8 cups water
- 40ml Erbology Aloe Vera Juice
- 2 pitted Medjool dates
- Pinch of salt
- 1-2 drops vanilla extract
- 4-5 fresh medium strawberries
- 40-50g Erbology Tigernut Granola - Jerusalem artichoke and dark chocolate
- Place all ingredients except for the granola in a blender and mix well.
- Pour the mixture into a nut milk bag and strain to separate the milk.
- Keep the milk in a sealed bottle or jar, in the fridge.
- Serve in the morning with Erbology Granola.
